Singer/Songwriter Duo MountainCity Reaches New Heights In Latest Single "Try Again"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Folk, pop-country artists, Dave and Tara Powers of MountainCity, released their single "Try Again" to spread awareness about the power of forgiveness in relationships. The song combines personal experiences and meaningful lyrics that exudes an ancient perspective on intimate journeys between two people. The couple strives as a musical duo to reach audiences in romantic relationships, whether married, engaged, or dating. Their mission is to help people encounter love in fresh ways through music and storytelling.
"This song is a reminder that life can flow when we prioritize forgiveness," Dave Powers said. "When we don't, it creates a bitter root in our hearts that strangles our quality of life."

Originating from Denver, Colorado, they have reached audiences nationwide with a prominent presence among Christian communities. "Try Again" was produced by Dave Wilton, who is the artist behind A Boy and His Kite and co-founder of the American-Christian band, Loud Harp.

Released in February, "Try Again" largely focuses on the idea that souls are more healthy when they intentionally resolve conflict quickly. A clear message of choosing humility in disagreement instead of pride showcases through the honest lyrics, capturing the hearts of over 150,000 listeners on Spotify and over 630,000 views on their music video.
"Love songs often make us feel, but very few invite us to actually do the hard work of maturing in love," producer, Dave Wilton said.

The pair focuses on building a tight-knit community based on purposeful intent without the slightest shred of industry agenda. In the past three years, they have created various works of art in a series of single releases every month or two spanning folk-pop, country, blue-eyed soul, electronic remixes, and instrumentals.
"Our music is us being authentically who we are and offering our creativity to the world through the simple gift of a song and the powerful gift of love," Tara Powers said.

The duo draws inspiration from affectionately-linked couples like JohnnySwim and Johnny and June Carter Cash to the individual likes of Carole King, Al Green, Norah Jones, and John Mayer. They've also shared the stage with notable artists, such as Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp, Third Day, Phil Wickham, Skillet, and Switchfoot.
