Tom Odell has announced the release of his anticipated new studio album,
Black Friday, coming January 26, 2024 on UROK/Universal Music. Tom has also shared the second new song from the upcoming record - "Somebody Else" - out today.

Tom comments on the new album; "I recorded these songs between last winter and the spring of this year. I tried to leave them as 'unproduced' as possible with the hope that they would be the truest reflection of how I felt in that time. These songs mean a lot to me, and I can't wait for you hear them."
"Somebody Else" was written by Odell and co-produced by Odell and long-time collaborator Cityfall. The track opens with a delicate piano tease, followed by an understated arrangement of emotive vocals and sparse acoustic guitar. Tom's graceful piano subtly elevates the poignant lyrics - "Blow a kiss. I am happy that you exist. Feel that light-headed feeling that I've missed…I wonder where you are you're probably waking up in somebody else's arms."
His latest single - the title track of the new album "Black Friday," was one of the highest new entries of late in the UK chart, propelling Tom into the top 100 most streamed artists in the world, with 2 million streams in its first day alone, and 20 million streams to date. A haunting and undeniably relatable ballad, "
Black Friday" is resonating in a major way, generating fan content on TikTok and 150 million views on the platform. The visceral connection audiences are having with the song is palpable as evidenced in this video of Odell performing the song in concert before its release. Tom gave a raw performance of the song on Late Night With Seth Meyers this week - his return visit to the show where he has performed multiple times.
His track "Another Love," also struck viral gold in 2022, resulting in over 4M creates on TikTok, over two billion streams, and placement on the U.S. Hot AC Chart and Top 10 on the UK's Official Chart. The song also became an anthem in protest videos against the war in Ukraine.
